1. Major exchange announcement
Apollo is pleased to announce that they will be listed on DigiFinex exchange with both Bitcoin and Ethereum pairings. This is the first in a series of major exchanges listings, included in the Apollo 2019–2020 exchange roll-out. You can expect more top tier exchanges to be announced in the near future.
2. Apollo Africa initiative promotion
Apollo will be promoting a series of new initiatives in countries across the continent of Africa. Our Africa team will report on the steps taking place in each nation. Progress updates can be expected as these initiatives unfold and information can be made public.
3. Successful start of Lesotho initiative
The start of Apollo’s Lesotho initiative has successfully begun as meetings between the Lesotho government and Apollo Africa have already taken place, and with great progress. Preparation for the next series of meetings are underway and updates will follow.
4. Comoros initiative update
The start of the Comoros initiative has officially begun. Meetings with Comoros government officials are planned for the very near future and legal preparations are well underway. Stay tuned for updates on the team’s next trips.
5. Botswana initiative update
The Apollo Botswana initiative has officially begun. Exploratory trips have been made with plans in progress to expand the Apollo Bank Network and meetings scheduled with government decision-makers. Updates will follow as progress continues.
6. Zimbabwe Sandbox 1.0 update
The Apollo sandbox in Zimbabwe is now being set up and updates are expected very soon. It is expected that the Zimbabwe sandbox will now be announced and officially initiated in Q4. This is due to delays caused by the extended funeral processions of the ex-president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe.
7. Final preparation for Apollo DEX beta launch
Final preparations for the beta release of the Apollo DEX are fully underway. The Apollo development team has announced plans to release the beta version during the week of September 30th. This version will be the first public release of the Apollo DEX with full trading functionality, giving users first-hand access to P2P trading through Atomic Swaps and the ability to shape future changes while improvements continue to be added.
The purpose of releasing a beta version is to collect feedback from users on how we can improve functionality and features before its largest public push. The goal of the Apollo team is to create the ultimate user-driven exchange and your input is needed to make this happen.
8. Development team update
The Apollo development team has been working on preparing the DEX release and fixing any bugs which were found during pre-release testing.
They have finished work on:
- Managing users keys on logout functionality
- Smart contract settings for refunding, if matching was canceled
- Additional validation on user’s available balance
The Apollo QA team has been continuing regression testing.
As for UI:
- Fixed issues found during the regression testing
- Finished work on logout functionality
- Finished work on pagination on tables (trades and orders)
